To make you feel my love

這年Adele大紅，把她的《19》專輯挖出來聽，聽到這年輕女伶以另種優秀方式重新詮釋 To make you feel my love，隨即念舊想起了 Garth Brooks 的版本。

當初是在電影《Hope Floats》原聲帶聽到這首歌的，台譯《真愛告白》，1998的舊片，講心碎的離婚婦女返鄉追尋自我的故事。融合愛情與親情的文藝小品不算特出，原聲帶倒是難得精彩的鄉村選輯，CD第一首便是 Garth Brooks 演唱的 To make you feel my love，點出在妳背影守候已久的男主角心境，畫龍點睛，為電影加分不少。

十多年過去，我不時拿出這張原聲帶，只為了聽這首歌。歌曲旋律平淡，沒有太多的花腔炫技，輕輕吟唱，靜靜傾訴，卻是字字句句唱進心底。Garth誠懇而乾淨的嗓音，詮釋的相當細膩，歌聲裡有著因愛而生的信念與堅強，卻也隱約透露些許無奈、脆弱與滄桑。聽完心裡覺得暖暖的，卻似有種莫名傷感沉著擱在心底，在午夜夢裡迴盪不去。

就像戲劇裡男主角為女主角赴湯蹈火，歷盡千辛，最後見面了，卻僅淡淡說道「為你，千千萬萬遍」。情深言短，好杯桑。

聽來簡單的一首歌卻很考驗詮釋技巧。不是淪為平淡無趣，就是太過油腔滑調，盪氣迴腸也不可。Adele 的版本感情渲染力十足；對一個已為人母（且懷裡還抱著跌倒大哭的喵寶得不斷安撫）的我來說，聽完的感觸又不大相同了。

愛，用說的很簡單，要讓對方感受到且感動，有時好像沒這麼簡單啊。

附註： 此曲原唱該算是Bob Dylan，但非他早期著名的批判反戰系列，反而是偏晚期1997的作品，而且還是難得的愛情小曲。
